I hired Dale and his crew after reading positive reviews here on Houzz. I had an old wooden deck that badly needed to be replaced due to rotten beams. It’s one level up and attached to the back of my old character home. I also have a 25 (or so) year-old wisteria tree that has wrapped itself around one side of the deck. It’s so beautiful and I was concerned about having to lose it to replace the deck. Dale recommended that we keep the current railings which weren’t rotten and just replace the deck flooring, beams, posts and stair treads rather than rip the whole thing off and start fresh. This was a great idea that I hadn’t considered – it saved me money and saved the wisteria.
Dale and his crew worked quickly and were always very pleasant to deal with. They came when they said they were going to and finished the job quickly. When they encountered an issue due to how the previous deck had been improperly installed and there was potential to find rot, Dale kept me informed about it possibly costing more and on what the issues could be – luckily it turned out to be minimal.
The crew power-washed the old railings, dismantled and disposed of the old deck and rebuilt the new one in about three days. It was all very quick and painless. I feel it was very good value for excellent quality of work.
